Prince Harry describes Cape Town as: 'An amazing place to base ourselves'

Cape Town – Earlier this year rumours were rife that Prince Harry, Meghan and their young baby Archie were considering moving to Africa for a little while to escape the scrutiny of the British media.

The pair then came to the continent on a highly successful tour and of course, the question a move came up in an interview with ITV anchor Tom Bradby while chatting to Harry about his love of Africa.

In a clip of the interview – which forms part of the documentary film Harry & Meghan: An African Journey - Harry candidly answers: "I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment, you know".

He then went on to say: "We just came from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to base ourselves, but with all the problems going on there, I just don't see how we'd really be able to make as much of a difference as we want to without the issues and the judgment of how we would be with those surroundings. It's a very hard place to live when you know what's going on, but then you're slightly disconnected from it."

While in The Mother City the royal couple, visited a historic mosque, introduced baby Archie to Desmond Tutu (and the world) and even ate samosas in The Bo-Kaap.
