Cape Town - This could be a tad awkward!

The Daily Mail claims that Prince Harry will be inviting two of his former flames, Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas, to his much anticipated royal wedding in May.

“Harry has stayed good friends with Chelsy and Cressida, so they’ll be there,” a source says. “He made sure there were no hard feelings when they split up. I don’t think Meghan will mind.”

Prince Harry (33) dated Zimbabwean-born Chelsy on and off for seven years and was with Cressida for two years, according to Marie Claire.

Chelsy and Harry met in Cape Town while the prince was on his gap year but the pair officially ended their relationship back in 2011.

Soon after, in 2012, Harry started dating Cressida after Princess Eugenie introduced the two. Reports soon emerged that they might be settling down but the model revealed that she wasn’t ready, at the time putting it down to their four-year age gap.

“That the prince, who turns 30 next year, wanted to settle down with Miss Bonas, 24, was no secret,” a source told The Telegraph at the time. “Her free-spirited ways were said to have captured the heart of the man labelled ‘the party prince’ and he was smitten as soon as he was introduced by his cousin, Princess Eugenie, in May 2012. But she felt too young to marry.”

Unlike Harry, Meghan Markle (36) will not be inviting her ex Trevor Engelson (41), to whom she was married, to her wedding. The Hollywood producer will soon be making a provocative television show about a divorcee who a member of the royal family.

It’s not the first time a member of the royal family has invited an ex to their wedding. Back in 1981 Camilla Parker Bowles, now the Duchess of Cornwall, was present when her then ex-boyfriend Prince Charles said “I do” to Princess Diana.
