Prince Harry reveals first new major project since leaving royal family

The Duke of Sussex recently launched a fitness online program for the military community.

HeadFIT is a digital initiative that’s close to Harry’s heart and has been in the making for the past three years. It’s aimed at providing the military with 24/7 access to advice and mental healthcare, Hello! Magazine reports.

The virtual campaign was first launched by the 35-year-old, who served in the military for 10 years, in October 2017 through the royal family’s mental health campaign Heads Together.

HeadFIT is a partnership between Heads Together, leading clinical experts at King’s College London, and the ministry of defense in Britain. It seeks to create an infinite scope of tools that will virtually assist the military with their mental and physical wellbeing, Harpers Bazaar reports.

"HeadFIT has been almost three years in the making, and I’m extremely grateful for everyone who’s been on this journey with us," Harry wrote in a statement.

"I've long believed the military community should lead the way for the rest of society. For too long we’ve been waiting for problems to arise and then reacting to them," he explained.

"HeadFIT is a proactive approach to mental fitness, focusing on our own potential to increase our performance, using proven methods in sport science."

The program can be used during everyday life and can also be integrated easily into a working military schedule, according to PEOPLE. "This is about optimisation of self," Harry added.

"This is about gaining an advantage, whether facing an opponent or overcoming a challenging situation. This is about building resilience that will match that of most world-class athletes and prepare you for everyday stress. To be HeadFIT, is to be at your peak performance."

This launch comes after Harry – who recently settled into his new life in LA with his wife, Meghan, and son Archie – sent an unprecedented letter cutting off British tabloid press for good.
