Cape Town - It seems Prince George will have a new playmate at school.

Kensington Palace recently revealed that 4-year-old Princess Charlotte will be joining her older brother at Thomas’s Battersea, which offers a wide range of classes, in London this September, Entertainment Tonight reports.

"We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her older brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea," Simon O’Malley, the headmaster said in a statement.

"We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September."

Charlotte was enrolled at Willcocks Nursery School in January 2018.

"They chose that nursery because they thought it would be an ideal first step for Charlotte’s education and they were impressed by the team who work there," a royal insider told People.

Prince George started attending Thomas’s Battersea school in 2017 and has been spotted being dropped off by Prince William on a few occasions.

On his first day of school, William revealed that his eldest son was hesitant, E! Online reports.

"I just dropped George off and he didn't want to go," William told a fellow parent during a visit to Milton Keynes.
