accreditation

Cape Town - Princess Martha Louise of Norway has found love, nearly three years after her divorce from Norwegian author Ari Behn was finalised.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, alongside three photos of the couple, the princess announced: "When you meet your twin flame, you know. I have been lucky enough to have met mine."

"Shaman Durek has changed my life, like he does with so many. He has made me realise that unconditional love actually exists here on this planet. He embraces all of me without question or fear. He makes me laugh more than anyone, has the most profound wisdom to share and all the bits in between from the diversity of his being. I feel so happy and blessed that he is my boyfriend," she continued.

Princess Martha Louise concluded her post by issuing a warning to anyone who may feel the need to criticise their relationship.

MORE ABOUT PRINCESS MARTHA LOUISE OF NORWAY

News of the romance comes a few years after Princess Martha Louise announced her split from ex-husband Ari after 14 years of marriage, Hello! reports.

In a candid statement at the time, the former couple announced: "Life does not always go smoothly. Both Ari and I have experienced this…These days we were mainly apart. We are ending the marriage but we are remaining together in parenthood. We have tried everything for a long time and we still cannot be where we were before, making it impossible for us to continue. We feel guilty because we are no longer able to create the safe harbour that our children deserve. But we hope and believe that we will manage to hold on to friendship through what lies ahead."

Princess Martha Louise, 47, who is the daughter of King Harald V and Queen Sonja, and Ari, 46, share three daughters – Maud Angelica, 16, Leah Isadora, 14, and Emma Tallulah, 10.

In February, Shaman Durek shared a photo of Princess Martha Louise explaining how his mother predicted that they would be together.

"When I was a teenager, my mother told me that one day someone from her heritage in Norway would find me and bring so much joy in my heart. I asked her, 'Who mother?' She said, 'A princess'.
