Cape Town - The UK’s Queen Elizabeth is back at work following her winter stay at Sandringham Estate.

The 93-year-old will undertake her first official engagements of the New Year after cancelling her annual tea with the local Women’s Institute last week due to a cold, FOX News reports.

The monarch is expected to visit RAF Marham in the town of King’s Lynn in Norfolk on Monday in her capacity as Honorary Air Commodore of the Royal Air Force station.

She’s also scheduled to open the new Wolferton Pumping Station on Wednesday, which protects the area from flooding, according to People Magazine.

Despite not making many official public appearances so far this year, the queen has been spotted heading to church each week.

She’s also had a busy start to the year due to family drama following the shocking announcement by her grandson Prince Harry (35) and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (38), that they intended stepping back as senior royals.

The queen called Harry, his father, Prince Charles (71), and brother, Prince William (37), to an emergency meeting at Sandringham to discuss the matter.

Additionally, the monarch has had to deal with the fallout from the disastrous interview her other son Prince Andrew (59) granted at the end of last year in which he discussed his friendship with late American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
