Queen Elizabeth misses her youngest great-grandchild.
The queen is said to be "very sad" that baby Archie won’t be joining his parents, Meghan and Harry, for their final engagements in England.
Meghan is expected to leave the nine-month-old behind in Canada when she makes the journey back to the United Kingdom to join Harry for their last days as working royals, reports the Mirror.
It’s believed the young royal will be left in the care of a nanny and family friend, Jessica Mulroney.
The Duke of Sussex made his return to the UK last week and the duchess is set to return this week.
The couple will be attending three events early this month before they officially exit public life on 31 March.
Their choice to leave baby Archie behind is said to add £50 000 (about R100 000) to the couple’s security bill, according to The Sun.
The last official sighting of the youngest royal was in a photograph posted to the Sussex Royal Instagram account on 31 December.
