‘She’s not the right woman for you’ – Meghan’s brother pens nasty warning letter to Harry

Cape Town - It’s little more than two weeks to go until the big day – but not everyone seems to be excited about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s pending nuptials.

In fact, Meghan’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jnr (51), would rather it didn’t happen at all.

Thomas wrote a letter to the 33-year-old prince advising against the wedding.

The letter, published by In Touch, begins with a melodramatic: “Dear Prince Harry, it’s not too late. Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.”

Thomas goes on to state the wedding “is the biggest mistake in royal history”. And then he gets downright nasty: “I’m confused why you don’t see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees. Meghan’s attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old.”

It’s clear there’s no love lost between Meghan (36) and her half-sibling, as Thomas writes: “What kind of person starts out by using her own father until he is bankrupt, then forgets about him.”

Thomas reckons Meghan’s Hollywood success has made her too big for her boots. “It’s very apparent that her tiny bit of Hollywood fame has gone to her head, changing her into a jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family.”

He ends the letter by accusing Meghan of breaking the family apart by not inviting them to the wedding, saying: “The whole world is watching Meg make bad decisions and choices, it’s not too late Harry.”

Not the first public outcry

This isn’t the first time Thomas has publically spoken out against his sister. In April he accused Meghan of falsely trying to portray herself as the new Princess Diana. “Diana was worshiped by everyone in the world. She was loved for the right reasons,” he told the Daily Mail at the time.

“That’s what Meg wants, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. She’s not genuine like Diana.”

The siblings were once close, especially in 2009 when they took care of their ill grandmother Doris. But Thomas says after Doris’ death in 2011 he never heard from Meghan again.

Thomas says he’s tried contacting Meghan through official royal channels, but is being flatly ignored, the Mirror reports. It’s still unclear whether Meghan’s dad, Thomas Snr (73), will be giving her away – or if he’s invited to the wedding at all.

“He did [give her away] for her first wedding in Jamaica,” Thomas Jnr says. “Meg should call him and say, ‘Dad. I want you over here. It’s non-negotiable. I want you by my side.’”
