Cape Town - Staff at the Lindo Wing maternity ward of St Mary’s Hospital in West London are allegedly on high alert and have been told to avoid taking a holiday in April ahead of the next royal baby’s arrival.

It was previously reported that Duchess Meghan (37) wanted to give birth at the NHS Frimley Park Hospital near her new home at Frogmore Cottage in Berkshire, Mirror UK reports.

But it looks like Meghan has had a change of heart. According to a source who spoke to The Telegraph, staff at the Lindo Wing were asked not to take a holiday in April.

“Everyone thinks it’s got something to do with the royal baby but no one is confirming anything,” the source said.

The Duchess of Sussex, who’s six months pregnant, revealed last month she’s due in late April or May.

All three of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s children were born at the maternity unit at St Mary’s Hospital, as well as Prince William and Prince Harry, reports Daily Mail.

A night in the Lindo Wing costs about R104 500 and offers a five-star birthing experience with spacious private rooms and an en-suite bathroom.

According to The Telegraph, Kensington Palace declined to comment.
