London - The newlywed couple will reportedly board a flight to Mexico soon to visit an ill Thomas Markle.

According to The Sun, Harry and Meghan have been keeping in touch with her father, who’s recently undergone a heart operation.

“Meghan and Thomas are both devastated he wasn’t able to attend the wedding and have discussed seeing each other soon,” a source revealed.

“They’ve been speaking all week, mostly by text.

“She’s been worried about him and checking how he is regularly.

“Thomas has told other family members he hopes Meghan and Harry will come to see him.”

An insider revealed to the Express that the royal pair will most likely visit the 73-year-old after their honeymoon in Namibia.

The former Hollywood lighting director told TMZ that he watched his daughter’s breathtaking wedding from his bed in California at a friend’s house where he’s recuperating.

“The service was beautiful, and it's history. I’ll always regret not being able to be there and not being able to hold my daughter's hand,” Thomas said.

“My baby girl is a duchess and I love her so much.

“When you watch your child get married, every thought goes through your mind, every memory from the first day she was born, the first time I held her.”

Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, was the only member of her family to attend the wedding.
