Cape Town - Donald Trump is gearing up for his first state visit to the UK in June, more than two years after an invitation was first extended.

The visit will take place from 3 to 5 June and is likely to reignite uproar about Queen Elizabeth's role in welcoming Trump that was first sparked in July 2018 - when Trump and his wife, Melania visited Windsor Castle for tea during what was described as a business trip.

According to People, Trump won't be travelling to the UK alone. He will be joined by Melania, as well as four of his adult kids and their significant others, namely: Ivanka, 37, and her husband Jared Kushner, 38; Donald Trump Jr., 41; Tiffany, 25; Eric Trump, 35, and his wife Laura, 36.

During their three-day visit, the queen will host a lavish banquet dinner that the Trump family will attend. As for the royal family members, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are scheduled to attend the banquet alongside Queen Elizabeth.

A private lunch with Trump and Melania will also be held, which Prince Harry will attend, CNN reports. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will reportedly not be there alongside Harry.
