Cape Town – It seems the royal family is just like the rest of us.

During an interview with Good Morning Britain, Mike Tindall, husband of Queen Elizabeth’s eldest granddaughter, Zara revealed that the royal family has a WhatsApp group to plan summer activities, according to InStyle.

"It’s just what you do to try and set up get-togethers and we’re doing something similar," Mike says.

"I don’t think it’s a new revelation. Quite a lot of people have family WhatsApp groups."

The former England rugby player went on to say that a few of Zara’s cousins – although not mentioning names – are also in the group.

"My brother and I, and then a few on Zara’s side such as her brother, Peter, and the cousins are on the WhatsApp group," Mike says.

The 38-year-old royal’s cousins include Princes William and Harry and their wives Kate and Meghan, PEOPLE reports.

"I wouldn’t say we’re cutting edge, but it’s just easier to do these type of things on WhatsApp.

"You might do it for a get-together and then just end up staying on the group where people still occasionally post.

"I’m in about 25 000 groups but I’m scared to leave because you don’t want to be seen as rude," he says.
