Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her birthday a tad differently this year.
For the first time in 68 years there won’t be a gun salute or an intimate celebration on the queen’s birthday.
A royal source revealed that Queen Elizabeth will host a series of Zoom calls so the rest of the royal family can wish her a happy birthday while in isolation at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip, Express UK reports.
"Aides have been planning to set up video calls to mark the celebration instead, allowing the Queen’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to wish her a happy birthday," a palace insider said.
According to The Sun, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson revealed that the Zoom calls will be private and won’t be made available to the public.
This comes after Prince William revealed that there’s a royal Zoom group, where the family stays in touch virtually from their respective homes while in isolation.
