Cape Town – As per tradition, the royal family was photographed on Wednesday making their to church in Sandringham – though there were a few notable absences.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are on a six-week break from royal duties and are currently in Canada with Archie, spending Christmas with family and friends, while Prince Philip recovers from his recent hospitalisation. Prince Andrew is spending Christmas with the royal family in Sandringham, however, did not make an appearance along with the rest of the family. This, after his disastrous interview with the BBC that resulted in him stepping back from public duties.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte stole the show though, as they attended their first-ever Christmas day church service.
The six-year-old future king wore a navy suit and waved to the crowd while four-year-old Charlotte held her mom’s hand and copied her curtsy when she greeted the queen.
