Cape Town – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traded in their royal roots for a night of glitz and glam at the 2019 Baftas.
The royal couple were given a warm welcome from an excited crowd as they walked the red carpet looking regal at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday.
Kate made an angelic appearance wearing a white, one-shoulder McQueen gown and glittery Jimmy Choo heels. She completed her look with a pair of diamond-drop earrings that once belonged to the late Princess Diana. Prince William joined Kate looking dapper in a traditional tuxedo.
During the ceremony, William – who is the the president of the British Academy Film Awards – presented the Fellowship award to film editor Thelma Schoonmaker.
Following the evening’s ceremony, Kate and William rubbed shoulders with the night’s award winners, including Best Adapted Screenplay winner Spike Lee, Best Supporting Actress winner Rachel Weisz and Rising Star award winner Letitia Wright.
