WATCH: Princess Eugenie's wedding dress shows off her scar

accreditation

Cape Town - Princess Eugenie's wedding dress was reportedly designed to show off the scar down her spine.

The British royal - who suffers from scoliosis - was left with the permanent marking after undergoing spinal surgery to fix a curve in her spine when she was 12 years old.

Eugenie's wedding gown was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, who founded the British based label Peter Pilotto, in London in 2007.

A statement shared by Buckingham Palace states the princess purposefully requested an open back to show off the scar, rather than try and hide it.
