Cape Town – Buckingham Palace, home to the British Monarchy for over 250 years, is officially being reserviced.

The massive 10-year program to refit the aging building is reportedly costing British taxpayers a bit more this year, however due to many of the palace's heating, electrical and plumbing systems not being updated since the 1950s, extensive work is needed.

This includes the palace lifts which staff often use, especially when delivering food from the kitchen to function rooms.

To highlight just how extensive the route staff have to take is, the palace released a time-lapse video of how the staff navigate through the building from the kitchen to the Chinese Drawing Room for functions.
