Cape Town – Princess Charlotte started big school today at Thomas’s Battersea in London.

Charlotte Cambridge – as she’ll be called at school – walked alongside her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as brother, Prince George, who will be returning to the prestigious school for his third year.

Looking as nervous as any other first-time student, she holds onto her mom’s hand as the family make their way towards the classroom. But the young princess looks rather chuffed as she shakes her teacher’s hand before swinging her little ponytail.

"Are we ready to go?" the teacher asks to which Prince William replies, "First day, she’s very excited."

Charlotte lets go of her mommy and stares straight into the camera – a death-stare if you will.

We have a feeling cheeky little Charlotte is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the classroom while she totally dominates the playground.
