Prince William and Prince Harry knew exactly how to make their mom feel special.
Darren McGrady, who was the personal chef for Queen Elizabeth, Princes William and Harry, and the late Princess Diana, recently launched a YouTube channel to share his cooking tips and recipes during lockdown.
He’s also been sharing his fondest memories of when he cooked for the royal family – one of those include a special treat for Mother’s Day.
In an interview with HELLO! Magazine, the former royal chef revealed that Princess Diana would give her team off on Mother’s Day to be with their families, which he thought was very kind of her.
The princess would usually have the boys each year for Mother’s Day because she wanted to spend alone time with them.
William and Harry were always keen on preparing a special meal for their mother, but they’d always receive some help as they were still quite young, Express reports.
"The princess would help the boys. Of course, when I was there, the boys were still young so it wasn’t like they could prepare a three-, or four-course meal," Darren said. "But, it was that special time for the princess and being with her boys on Mother’s Day.
"It was as much about she wanting us to spend time with our families as she wanted to be alone with her two boys on Mother’s Day, and it meant so much to her for the three of them just to eat together and be together.”
