Cape Town - Even the royals have their cheat days!

Instead of sampling the culinary delights of St Mary’s Hospital’s on-site chefs, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted for a much simpler treat.

According to PopSugar, after Kate was in labour for approximately 11 hours, the royal couple opted to feast on takeaway pizza!

After placing their order, a member of their security team popped down to Zizzi, an Italian restaurant around the corner, and returned with two boxes of pizza for the new parents.

Four years later, pizza is still a favourite in the Cambridge household. Kate recently revealed that both George (4) and his little sister Charlotte (2) absolutely love making their own pizzas.

"I've done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough," the mom of three-to-be said. "They love it because they can get their hands messy."

And soon there will be one more Cambridge mouth to feed! According to The Sun, the couple’s third baby is due to arrive on 23 April.
