Cape Town - An American dolls’ clothing designer has launched two special toys to celebrate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials – however it seems people aren’t too happy about them.

The dolls have even been dubbed “horrible”.

Harry (33) and Meghan (36) are set to marry in May this year and it seems there are a lot of people seeking to profit from the event.

Shirley Corsey is selling her 18-inch (47cm) 'royal wedding' dolls – which come in full attire – for $181 (R1 404.49).

But these dolls bear little resemblance to either Meghan nor Harry.

The Prince Harry doll is dressed in a white and gold suit, with blue shoes and the Meghan doll is wearing a sparkly white wedding dress, with white shoes, a veil, a white bouquet and a tiara.

According to Metro UK, Shirley hopes the new royal dolls – which are available to buy worldwide on her Etsy website – will become popular with collectors and history-lovers.

“I love history and current events, therefore my doll outfits and designs for girls and boys reflect my interest.

“For 2018 I created and launched my royal dolls inspired creations based on what will be one of the most exciting 2018 weddings for the UK and America.”

Social media wasn’t too pleased with these dolls, and as always, they weren’t afraid to voice their opinions.
