32 years after the original Coming to America is finally getting a sequel in 2020

Cape Town - The sequel to Coming to America will be released in August 2020. 

The 1988 romantic comedy starred Eddie Murphy who played Akeem Joffer, the crown prince of the fictional African nation of Zamunda, who goes to the United States in the hopes of finding a woman he can marry.

The movie was a box office hit and grossed $288 752 301 worldwide, making it the highest grossing movie for Paramount Pictures that year.

According to Variety Hustle & Flow director Craig Brewer will helm the film and Murphy will reprise his role.
