Los Angeles - Amanda Seyfried says stripping off for her new movie was liberating.
The Lovelace star had no problem baring all to shoot some risqué scenes for the film, in which she plays a 1970's porn star, and doesn't think being naked onscreen is a big deal.
The 27-year-old actress said: "It's funny, because I felt liberated when I was doing it.
"I'm sure people that are very protective of me wouldn't feel very comfortable with that, but it's like, what's the big deal?
"Growing up I was made to feel nudity was wrong because everything was always censored in movies, and it was just like, why are we covering ourselves up?"
'Women are coerced into it'
Despite being comfortable with her own body, the Les Miserables star was a little anxious before she began shooting her new film but quickly relaxed into the controversial role, according to People.com.
She said: "It didn't seem as scary as I thought it was [going to be]. It was astonishing how quickly I was able to jump in whole-heartedly."
Amanda previously revealed that her portrayal of the dark side of the sex industry was a turn off.
She said: "Knowing now what Linda had gone through and what a lot of people have gone through - still, around the world today, much less so in the United States - women are coerced into it.
"Women are objectified and they'll always be objectified, unfortunately. That's the dark side of it. They don't necessarily want to be there, some of them. The idea of that is enough to turn you off completely."
