Cape Town - Hollywood starlet Drew Barrymore is heading to South Africa to film scenes for her upcoming movie, and bringing her seven-month-old daughter along for the trip, reports Sarie.com.
According to reports, Drew will be spending three months at Sun City to shoot a new romantic comedy opposite her Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates co-star Adam Sandler.
The 38-year-old actress and her seven-month-old daughter Olive will be heading to SA within the next six weeks, and while the film crew only expects Drew to stay in Sun City for three months, the actress has said that she will stay on in South Africa until of her scenes have "been shot perfectly".
There has been no word yet if Adam will be joining her in Sun City to shoot scenes for the as-yet-untitled movie.
A disastrous first date
Drew has promised fans that the new rom-com will be similar to her previous collaborations with Adam.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Drew said that the film will portray a similar story that she's been experiencing in her life recently, and tells of a couple that has a disastrous first date at a holiday resort.
Both actors have been itching to work with each other for a while and according to Drew, both she and Adam couldn't stop talking about the project for quite some time.
"It was all that Adam and I were talking about. Both of us brings out the best in each other," she said during the interview.
