Cape Town – There has been a lot of talk about the Oscar nominated movie American Sniper.
The box office hit raked in a staggering $90.2m in its opening weekend and has scored six Oscar nominations including one for Best Actor for Bradley Copper’s brilliant performance.
But that’s not the only thing people have been talking about.
The other role that has everyone buzzing is that of the obvious fake baby who stars as Bradley and Sienna Miller’s on-screen child.
In the scene below, the plastic doll steals the show. Especially when Bradley moves the 'baby's' arm with his thumb. Awkward. We were so distracted by the lifeless object that we had no idea what was happening in the scene.
According to The New York Times, the screenwriter Jason Hall posted a tweet about that baby saying: "Hate to ruin the fun but real baby #1 showed up with a fever. Real baby #2 was no show. (Clint voice) Gimme the doll, kid." The tweet has since been deleted.
Here's what viewers had to say on Twitter:
A Cabbage Patch Kid would have been more realistic then the fake baby in #AmericanSniper #FakeBaby
