This is what the movie is about: The Oscar winning foreign language film, El Secreto De Sus Ojos gets an American make-over. FBI agent Jess's (Julia Roberts) daughter is brutally murdered. The suspected killer goes free and Jess’s partner, Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor) obsessively searches for the killer. 13 years later he comes across a new lead which could finally bring about justice. However, Jess is bent on taking matters into her own hands. District Attorney supervisor Claire (Nicole Kidman) tries to keep her on the right side of the law
