Los Angeles - Universal Pictures has announced that Robin Wright and Sam Worthington will join the ensemble cast of Everest.
They join Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal Martin Henderson, Emily Watson and Thomas Wright who have already signed on for the disaster drama film.
Inspired by the true events of the 1996 Mount Everest expedition the film will focus on three disastrous attempts that claimed the lives of a number of people when a blinding storm hit.
In an exclusive Deadline.com reported that Worthington will play Guy Cotter and Wright will play Beck Weather’s wife, Peach.
The film is currently being shot in Nepal and the base of Everest , the Italian Dolomites and Cinecitta Studios in Rome and Pinewood Studios in the UK.
It is set for a September 2015 release.
