The 7 funniest one-liners from Tina and Amy's Golden Globes opening monologue

Cape Town - There was no shortage of funny digs and hilarious commentary at this year's Golden Globes Awards.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler may have just put to bed one of their funniest hosting gigs to date.

Check out of some of the most hilarious jokes that were delivered at this year's opening monologue:

1) Tina Fey, joking about the firestorm surrounding The Interview and the hack of Sony Pictures: "They said it was intolerable and a wanton act of terror. Not the worst review the movie got."

2) Amy: "Reese Witherspoon is here. She’s great in the movie Wild, and yes, she did all of her own walking. So great. And Andy Serkis was great as her backpack."

3) Amy: "One of those famous Big Eye paintings is on display tonight. Let’s check it out." *Camera cuts to a surprised Emma Stone...* Amy: "It’s cute but it’s creepy."

4) "George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year. Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an adviser Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected for a three-person UN commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight... her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

5) Tina: "Patricia Arquette is here. So wonderful, so, so wonderful in the film Boyhood. Boyhood proves that there are still great roles for women over 40 as long as you get hired when you’re under 40."

6) Amy: "You know, Tina, I didn’t like Gone Girl. I go to the movies to escape. I didn’t want to see myself up there on the screen."

7) "In Into the Woods, Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince, and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby."
