Los Angeles - A US woman has filed a lawsuit against the distributors of the Ryan Gosling movie Drive after claiming the trailer was misleading.
Sarah Deming claims the way the film was promoted made it seem "similar" to the motion picture Fast and Furious, but she doesn't think they bore comparable themes.
Drive stars Gosling as a movie stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver for robbers. He meets and falls in love with a young mother played by Carey Mulligan.
'Very little driving'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sarah's lawsuit reads: "[FilmDistrict] promoted the film Drive as very similar to the Fast and Furious, or similar, series of movies.
"Drive bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film, having very little driving in the motion picture.
"Drive was a motion picture that substantially contained extreme gratuitous defamatory dehumanising racism directed against members of the Jewish faith, and thereby promoting criminal violence against members of the Jewish faith."
