All the new flicks showing in SA this weekend

Cape Town – The much anticipated sequel for Creed can finally be seen in SA cinemas. 

This time around Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has to face off against the son of the man who killed his father. 

Also showing: A biopic about Queen’s legendary frontman Freddie Mercury, Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope go on another adventure and a magical app makes a teenager’s status updates come true.

Movie: Creed II

Our rating: 3/5

Short review: For all that doesn’t work about it, Creed II gets by on some great fight scenes, a killer score, heavy doses of nostalgia and the continued greatness of Stallone as Rocky.

Short review: Status Update is a movie you've seen before but less fun because you've seen it before.The storyline is so worn out the app might as well be a genie that tells our hero to “be careful what you wish for”.
