Cape Town – South African war film The Recce opens in cinemas on Friday, 28 September.

Set in the 70s and 80s the film follows Henk Viljoen, a young recce who is wrongfully declared KIA behind enemy lines.

Abandoned by his superiors; it’s a race for survival in which his mental and physical abilities are pushed to their limits, as he navigates his way through the treacherous Angolan war zone in an effort to make his way home to his loved ones.

Nico Nigrini is the mastermind behind the costumes for this local film. He has worked on various feature films and series including: Death Race Inferno, Safe House, Maze Runner, Homeland and Black Mirror.

In this behind-the-scenes video Nico talks about how they brought the film to life through costume and wardrobe.
