Anna Kendrick pushes for more female-led movies

London - Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick team up in mystery thriller A Simple Favour - directed by Paul Feig.

At the UK premiere of the film on Monday, Anna and Blake opened up about working together in a rare female double-act.

Based on the novel by Darcey Bell it centres around mommy blogger Stephanie (Kendrick) who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's (Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. 

Stephanie is joined by Emily's husband Sean (Henry Golding) in the thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty and murder and revenge.


The film releases in SA cinemas on Friday, 28 September.
