Dare we say Queen Bey might not be able to pull off everything?

Well, some Twitter users seem to think so.

Fans aren’t impressed with Beyoncé as Nala in The Lion King after a new clip appeared online.

In the short trailer, Beyoncé’s character can be heard telling Simba: “This isn’t the home I remember. You have to take your place as king.”

Her distinctive Texan accent threw some fans off – and after watching it, we might just agree.

Could it be that the singer’s voice is too famous for the role?

One fan even argued she might have ruined the movie.

Others found her accent awkward, considering the movie is set in an African country.

“Someone needs to explain why a supposedly African lion has the accent of a black woman from the southern US,” the user noted.

Surprisingly, there weren’t many of her fans who leapt to her defence.

The Disney reboot is set for release later this month.
