Cape Town - Saudi Arabia is one of the most conservative countries due to its religious standards; and in respect for these standards, the country called for a ban on all cinema.

That’s all about to change though – thanks to Black Panther, Wakanda is now for everyone. The film will be the first one to be shown publicly in the conservative country for the first time since the ‘80s.

According to Variety, an Italia Film spokesperson said:

“Disney and its Middle East distribution partner, Italia Film, will be releasing the Marvel superhero blockbuster April 18 in a new AMC-branded movie theatre in Riyadh with a gala premiere”

Black Panther will be a big step up from a makeshift film screening The Emoji Movie that took place in Saudi Arabia earlier this year.

And the Saudi Arabians will be ushered into Wakanda in style as the cinema is luxurious with leather seats, an orchestra and balcony levels, and marble bathrooms!

That’s a pretty snazzy way to watch a movie!

Some tweeps are pretty impressed too:
