Cape Town – The trailer for Detective Pikachu has just been released.
Ryan Reynolds, who voices the popular character in the first-ever live-action movie based on the face of the Pokémon brand, announced the trailer release on Twitter.
He wrote: “I think we all knew I'd wind up as a miniature detective repeatedly saying the same two words. Just didn't think it'd be this soon. #PikaPika #DetectivePikachu."
When his father disappears 21-year-old Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) investigates what happened to him. He gets help from his dad’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking super-sleuth. When the pair discover that they can communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces to unravel the mystery.
