Cheryl Cole films cameo for new fantasy film

Los Angeles - Cheryl Cole has reportedly filmed a cameo role for upcoming family fantasy film, Four Children and It.

The film is based on the best-selling novel by Jacqueline Wilson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter it follows the story of four children who learn that their beach holiday is a bonding trip with their future step-siblings.

The children discover a large shelled creature, which reveals itself as a "psammead crustacean decapodlium wishasaurus," or sand fairy for short. The children, befuddled by this confusing name, refer to the creature simply as "It".

"It" grants them one wish a day and the children must learn to work together and choose their wishes wisely when an evil villain tries to steal "It".

The four children will be played by Ashley Aufderheide, Teddie Malleson-Allen, Billy Jenkins and Ellie-Mae Siame.

The adult cast include Paula Patton, Matthew Goode, Michael Caine and Russell Brand will play the villain.
