Cape Town - Chris Hemsworth has signed on to play wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in a new movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter deals for the film are currently in the process of closing with Netflix.
The publication further reports that Todd Phillips (The Joker) will take the helm while Michael Sugar (Spotlight), Bradley Cooper, Eric Bischoff and Chris Hemsworth will act as producers.
The biopic will focus more on the pro-wrestler's rise to fame - rather than encompass his entire life including the sex tape scandal that saw the end of tabloid site Gawker - and is described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.
