Colin Farrell to play 'original and fun' version of The Penguin in new Batman film

Colin Farrell has teased details of his role as The Penguin in the upcoming The Batman film.

Production on the movie which will see Robert Pattison in the role of the Caped Crusader was halted in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In an interview with GMA News Online, the 43-year-old shared some details of his character saying: "The aesthetic of the character, has been fun and I really am so excited to get back and explore it."

He also revealed that his character only has a short amount of time in the film but promises that his scenes are tasty.

"There are a couple of some tasty scenes I have in it and my creation, and I can't wait to get back. Yeah, I totally feel like it is something that I have not had the opportunity to explore before. It feels original and fun."

The film directed by Matt Reeves is schedule to be released in October 2021.
