Cape Town – Rumours have been swirling that Atandwa Kani will be joining his father in the Marvel superhero flick, Black Panther

Atandwa has finally confirmed that he is indeed part of the cast.

The actor shared the news on his Instagram account.

Alongside a picture of himself, he wrote: "Atandwa Kani in "Black Panther" #LivingTheDream #Marvel #BlackPanther #KaniDynasty

Atandwa joins his father John Kani, who will be reprising his role as King T’Chaka, Black Panther's father

According to the movie's IMDB page, Atandwa is listed as Young T'Chaka.

We think it's totally cool that he'll be playing a younger version of his real life dad.

Other cast members include: Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and is currently being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
