Cape Town – The Fast and the Furious director Rob Cohen has been accused of sexual assault.
On Saturday Huffington Post published an in-depth report detailing the sexual assault allegations by an unnamed victim - called Jane - to protect her identity.
The alleged assault happened in 2015 after Rob invited Jane, who was working on a TV pilot, to a meeting at a restaurant at the hotel where he was staying.
Jane said that she began to feel fuzzy after having a few drinks and dinner with Rob. She later regained consciousness in his hotel room with the director reportedly performing a sex act on her that she did not consent to.
After her meeting with Rob, Jane sought treatment for sexual assault reports HuffPost.
The filmmaker's lawyer Martin Singer has denied the allegations.
In a 13-page response to the publication he wrote: "The proposed Story is an outrageous defamatory hit piece, making extraordinarily offensive assertions that my client engaged in heinous sexual misconduct, criminal wrongdoing, and other inappropriate behaviour, which are vehemently disputed and denied by my client, (sic)" reports Vanity Fair.
In February this year, Rob's daughter Valkyrie Weather publicly accused him of child molestation and taking her to see sex workers during overseas trips.
"When I was very young, Rob used my body for his own sexual gratification. My mother witnessed one of the assaults when I was between two and two and a half years old, and has since confirmed what she saw," she wrote on Twitter.
The Hurricane Heist director denied the allegations in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter saying: "This is extremely painful. My beloved child has accused me of the most awful thing, imaginable. Knowing that it is categorically untrue is painful enough."
