Cape Town – Get ready to dive into the underwater world of Atlantis.

With still a few months to go until DC’s Aquaman splashes onto the big screen Entertainment Weekly has given us a teaser.

The latest edition of the publication has not one but two covers featuring the cast of the superhero film - Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Arthur Curry's mother and the queen of Atlantis.

In more first look pictures we see Atlanna protecting a younger version of her son, Aquaman in what looks to be a submarine and Arthur Curry and Mena on a quest in the surface world.

We also get a first look at Aquaman’s nemesis Black Manta aka David Kane a mercenary and pirate played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

James Wan teased the character in an interview with the publication saying: “He’s part mercenary but full-time pirate who in his suit will look like some crazy alien from outer space.”

But Black Manta isn’t the only villain Aquaman will have to face off against.

According to Wan the main story is between Aquaman and his half-brother King Orm (Patrick Wilson) who rules Atlantis.

“Black Manta is a really interesting character who is somehow factored into this story, but our main story is about Jason and Patrick,” says Wan in Entertainment Weekly
