FIRST LOOK: Brie Larson as Captain Marvel

Cape Town – Marvel debuted a first look of Brie Larson as Captian Marvel at Comic-Con.

Larson took to Instagram to share the pictures of her suited up.

Alongside the pictures she wrote: "Guys, it's happening!!!! #captainmarvel #sdcc2017"

The Independent reports that the costume design stays very true to the comics.

At the panel Marvel also revealed some plot details. 

The film will be set in the mid-90s with Samuel L Jackson returning as S.H.I.E.L.D. spymaster Nick Fury without the eye patch, reports Entertainment Weekly. 

Captain Marvel will be facing off against the Skrulls, an alien race. It will be their first appearance on the big screen.

The film is set to be released in March 2019.
