FIRST LOOK: Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp

Cape Town – Filming for the Ant-Man sequel is currently underway in Atlanta. 

On Monday Evangeline Lilly shared a first look picture of her character The Wasp in costume. 

Alongside the picture she wrote: "On set today, celebrating the artist who helped create this amazing character by bringing her to life! I am honoured to be playing The Wasp on what would be Jack Kirby's 100th birthday. All hail Jack Kirby and The Wasp!"

Jack Kirby is an American comic book artist credited for creating some of the most popular comic superheroes. 

According to an official synopsis by Marvel Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place after Civil War. 

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) tries to balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, when Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) present him with a new mission, requiring him to team up with van Dyne as the new Wasp.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Walton Goggins have also joined the cast. 

The film is set to be released in July 2018.
