FIRST LOOK: <em>Star Trek Beyond</em> trailer

Cape Town – After the trailer for Star Trek Beyond leaked online Paramount Pictures decided to release the official version. 

The third film in the franchise sees the return of the crew of the Enterprise.

While the trailer doesn’t seem to reveal plot details it looks like it’s going to be uhm ... fun with some explosive action scenes.

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho all return with new cast members Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim.

Idris Elba also joins the cast as the villain.

The film is set to be released in cinemas in August 2016.
