Cape Town - Although actress Halle Berry has become one of the most celebrated names in Hollywood, she recently revealed she has regrets about some of the decisions she made earlier in her career.

During an interview with ET Online about her new movie with Keanu Reeves, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the award-winning actress revealed she was offered a lead role in 1994 hit flick Speed but turned it down.

"I don’t know if you know this, but I was offered Speed before Sandra Bullock," she began.

"I stupidly said no. But in my defense, when I read the script the bus didn’t leave the parking lot."

After she saw the movie she regretted saying no, Halle added.

"I was like no, no, no, no. Then I see the movie and I’m like, arrrrghh."

Luckily for the actress, she got a second chance to work with Keanu, who she reportedly has a crush on. But it was hard work. The 52-year-old actress, who plays the role of hired assassin Sofia in the new John Wick movie, had to learn martial arts as well as train intensively.

"I worked six months, probably almost five days a week training," she told ET Online.
