Cape Town – Once you've seen the Cats trailer you won’t be able to unsee it!
On Thursday Universal Pictures dropped the first look of the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical based on T.S. Eliot's book of poems titled Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
It tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as "the Jellicle choice" and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.
In the 2-minute clip set to Jennifer Hudson's (Grizabella) rendition of Memory newcomer Francesca Hayward (Victoria) asks, "Are you going to try for a different life?"
The trailer also features Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Taylor Swift, Ian McKellan, Rebel Wilson, James Corden, Jason Derulo and Steven McRae as CGI felines.
