Cape Town - British actor Idris Elba has confessed that directing his first movie was a "nerve-wrecking" experience.
The 45-year-old made his directorial debut with the film Yardie - based on a ground-breaking 1992 novel by Victor Headley about the black experience in Britain.

This comes after Idris admitted that the journey of becoming a director is so cliched. The actor further revealed it is something that is has always aspired to do and that he took inspiration from people he has previously worked with.
