Idris Elba circling Deadshot role in Suicide Squad sequel

Cape Town - Idris Elba is reportedly in talks to replace Will Smith in the Suicide Squad sequel.

Last week we reported that Smith will not reprise his role as Deadshot in the upcoming film due to scheduling conflicts. (Read more here)

Variety reports that sources say Elba is the studios top choice to take on the role. 

Other cast members have yet to be announced. 

James Gunn will write and direct the film which is scheduled to be released in 2020.
