Cape Town – Pamela Anderson has finally given in and joined the cast of the Baywatch movie.
Dwayne Johnson revealed that the 48-year-old actress who starred in the TV drama series as blonde bombshell lifeguard C.J. Parker will indeed make an appearance in the film.
He took to Instagram to announce the news.
However, Pamela's role is still unknown, as the role of C.J. will now be played by supermodel Kelly Rohrbach.
The actress, who first turned down the role saying no one appreciates remakes, seemed to have had a change of mind.
In a recent interview with ET Canada she now considers the title a "homage" to the series, which ran from 1989 to 2001, and admits it would be an "honour" to be a part of it because it played a huge part in her life and career.
The film also stars Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Charlotte McKinney, Alexandra Daddario, Hannibal Buress and Ilfenesh Hadera.
The movie is set to be released in cinemas in May 2017.
