Los Angeles - Jack Black has joined the Jumanji reboot.
The 46-year-old funnyman will star alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who is also acting as co-producer, and Kevin Hart in the forthcoming revamped version of the 1995 original hit, although details on his role are not yet known.
Taking to his Instagram account Johnson uploaded a photograph of the legendary actor alongside the caption: "IT'S OFFICIAL: An ol' friend is ready to play in the world of #JUMANJI... JACK (mf'n) BLACK.
"Been a big fan of his work over the years. A brilliant actor who I'm confident will turn in a performance of a lifetime for JUMANJI. (when we reveal his character you'll understand;). In our reimagining of the story of JUMANJI, Jack brings that rare balance of cool with funny and edge with childlike joy.
"The "Jumanji Breakfast Club" is coming together.. myself, Jack (mf'n) Black and Kevin Hart. (sic)"
Although roles are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being, Johnson has teased that he, Black and Hart will all play a lead role but he still has the mammoth task of finding two people to take on the other two starring parts.
He added: "Two big roles left. One bad ass girl. One semi-sorta bad ass dude. Who will they be... this is gonna be fun. (sic)"
Jumanji is set to hit cinema screens next July.
